KLUNGKUNG – SMAN 2 Semarapura memutuskan menunda ragam pungutan yang awalnya mau dibebankan kepada orangtua siswa. Salah satunya, pungutan Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan.

Ini sebagai bentuk empati sekolah kepada orangtua siswa ditengah situasi ekonomi yang semakin sulit karena pandemi COVID-19. Sikap ini juga sesuai dengan hasil rapat Komite Sekolah, agar bisa meringankan beban orangtua siswa.

Kepala SMAN 2 Semarapura, I Wayan Janiarta, Senin (19/7) yang juga ketua MKKS Kabupaten Klungkung mengatakan dalam situasi pandemi seperti ini, pihaknya sangat memahami kondisi ekonomi masyarakat. Maka, sekolah memutuskan tidak melakukan pungutan apapun. Termasuk terkait pakaian siswa.

“Bahkan, selaku Ketua MKKS SMA di Klungkung, saya juga sudah sampaikan kepada kepala sekolah negeri yang lain, agar tidak melakukan pungutan. Walaupun sekolah negerinya sebelumnya sudah ada kesepakatan dengan orangtua siswa,” kata Janiarta.

Pungutan yang dimaksud, adalah Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan senilai Rp 90 ribu per siswa, atau populer di kalangan orangtua sebagai SPP atau Uang Komite. Sementara untuk biaya pakaian, itu kembali pada masing-masing siswa.

Kalau mau menjahit atau mencari rekanan sendiri, itu kembali kepada setiap siswa. Ia menegaskan pihak sekolah selama ini tak pernah mewajibkan itu. “Kalau siswa mau beli silahkan. Kalau mau pakai pakaian kakaknya boleh. Tidak masalah. Yang jelas untuk pakaian ini bukan dari sekolah yang mengadakan,” tegas kasek asal Rendang, Karangasem ini.

Janiarta berharap pandemi segera berakhir dan kehidupan kembali normal. Sehingga pihak sekolah juga bisa kembali melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan tenang dan nyaman. SMAN 2 Semarapura pada tahun ajaran baru ini sudah meloloskan 360 orang siswa baru. Proses PPDB dilakukan secara daring tanpa ada pungutan apapun.

Salah satu orangtua siswa setempat Budi Krista mengaku amat bersyukur dengan keputusan pihak sekolah ini. Menurutnya, pihak sekolah peka melihat realitas masyarakat khususnya orangtua siswa yang sebagian besar mengalami kesulitan ekonomi akibat pandemi. Ia sejak awal mengaku cukup kebingungan, karena diluar kewajiban uang komite, ia juga mengaku cukup dibuat pusing dengan biaya pakaian hampir Rp 2 juta per anak. (KANALBALI/KR7)
