KARYA digital semakin sering menghiasi internet dan media sosial. Tidak hanya sekadar hobi, karya digital juga bisa menjadi sumber penghasilan jika dijual dalam bentuk kaos, tas, hingga kerajinan lainnya.

Sayangnya, menurut Descha Muchtar, Founder Indopinups dan CSE Educator, belum seluruh masyarakat mengetahui bagaimana cara menghargai karya digital yang baik.

“Padahal seniman itu membuat karya digitalnya kan dengan serius ya. Tapi masih ada saja yang main comot lalu dijual bahkan tanpa izin demi keuntungan pribadi,” tutur Descha, dalam webinar Gerakan Nasional Literasi Digital 2021 wilayah Tolikara, Papua, Senin 1 November 2021.

Padahal Descha menjelaskan, karya digital yang dihasilkan seseorang dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Hak Cipta. Pelanggaran terhadap UU ini pun berisiko membuat seseorang didenda bahkan dipenjajara.

Maka dari itu, ia pun membagikan sejumlah cara menghargai karya digital yang bisa Anda lakukan sejak sekarang. Pertama, jika Anda menyenangi karya digital seseorang dan ingin membagikannya di laman media sosial Anda, janga lupa meminta izin.

“Kalau tidak minta izin, nanti kamu bisa kena pasal pembajakan loh. Makanya izin saja deh. Bisa hubungi akun media sosialnya lalu di DM baik-baik kalau karyanya ingin digunakan untuk hal apa,” paparnya.

Literasi Digital untuk Meningkatkan Wawasan Kebangsaan

Jika pemilik karya menyetujui, bukan tak mungkin mereka akan mengajukan syarat yang wajib dipatuhi. Jika ini terjadi, Descha mengingatkan Anda wajib melakukannya.

“Misalnya boleh di-repost tapi harus sertakan link sumber, ya dilakukan aja. Atau pencatuman kredit nama pembuat,” terangnya.

Terakhir, Descha mengatakan karya seseorang juga harus dihargai dengan tidak mengubah, mengurangi, maupun menambah hasil ciptaan. Menghindari penyalahgunaan karya digital, dalam bentuk apapun, merupakan cara paling tepat untuk memberikan penghargaan.

“Penyalahgunaan itu kayak apa? Nah salah satunya adalah menonton film bajakan di situs-situs tidak resmi. Kalau masih dilakukan, hentikan dari sekarang ya karena ini sangat merugikan pemilik karya,” tuturnya.

Kegiatan ini menargetkan 10.000.000 orang terliterasi digital pada tahun 2021, hingga tercapai 50 juta orang terliterasi digital pada 2024.

Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program Literasi Digital di 34 Provinsi dan 514 Kabupaten dengan 4 pilar utama. Di antaranya Budaya Bermedia Digital (Digital Culture), Aman Bermedia (Digital Safety), Etis Bermedia Digital (Digital Ethics), dan Cakap Bermedia Digital (Digital Skills) untuk membuat masyarakat Indonesia semakin cakap digital.
