DENPASAR, kanalbali.id– Seorang perempuan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) asal Australia bernama Rita Myrsel Lubin (77) tewas tertimpa dinding kaca toko yang berlokasi di Jalan Pantai Sindhu, yaitu di Sindhu Beach Market Sanur, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar.
Kasi Humas Polresta Denpasar AKP I Ketut Sukadi mengatakan, bahwa peristiwa itu diketahuinya pada Minggu (31/3) sekitar pukul 12.30 WITA dan dilaporkan oleh anak korban pada Senin (1/4).
“Akibat kejadian korban mengalami luka robek pada lengan sebelah kiri dan punggung kiri atas yang diduga menyebabkan korban meninggal dunia,” kata AKP Sukadi, Selasa (2/4).

Kronologinya, saat itu korban bersama anaknya Louis Jean Francois Lubin sekitar pukul 12:30 WITA sedang berjalan- jalan di Pantai Sindhu dan melintas di pasar tradisional yang menjual oleh-oleh dan aksesoris perhiasan serta barang kesenian.
Saat itu, korban melewati sebuah tangga menuju ke pantai melalui jalur dekat Vila Seriska dan korban yang sedang mencari tumpuan turun dari tangga kehilangan keseimbangan, di mana tubuh korban menimpa sebuah dinding kaca sebuah toko.
Akibat kejadian itu, korban mengalami luka sayatan dari kaca yang menyebabkan korban bersimbah darah duduk di dekat tangga. Kemudian, melihat kejadian seorang saksi langsung berusaha membantu korban bersama dengan warga lokal lainnya dan saat itu langsung memanggil keluarga korban.
Mendengar peristiwa, anak korban langsung membawa korban menuju Rumah Sakit Bali Mandara. Namun nyawa korban tidak tertolong dan diduga karena korban kehilangan banyak darah.
“Selanjutnya, ke esokan hari Senin (1/4) anak korban melaporkan kejadian itu kepada Polsek Denpasar Selatan untuk proses lebih lanjut,” ujarnya. ( kanalbali/KAD )
