BANGLI, kanalbali.id – Dalam upaya mendukung program pemerintah untuk mencapai swasembada pangan, Plt. Direktur Jenderal Pemasyarakatan, Y. Ambeg Paramarta, melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Lapas Narkotika Kelas IIA Bangli pada Jumat (8/11).
Kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk melihat secara langsung berbagai program pembinaan kemandirian yang telah berhasil dijalankan oleh Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) di lapas tersebut.
Dalam kunjungannya, Plt. Dirjen PAS didampingi oleh Direktur Perawatan, Kesehatan, dan Rehabilitasi, Maulidi Hilal, Kepala Divisi Pemasyarakatan, I Putu Murdiana dan Kepala Lapas Narkotika Kelas IIA Bangli, Marulye Simbolon.
Rombongan berkesempatan meninjau langsung beberapa program unggulan, seperti perkebunan asparagus, perkebunan sayur pakcoy, budidaya madu klanceng, serta program bimbingan kerja.
“Saya sangat mengapresiasi inovasi dan semangat yang ditunjukkan oleh Lapas Narkotika Bangli dalam mendukung program pemerintah,” ujar Plt. Dirjen PAS. “Program-program pembinaan yang telah dilaksanakan tidak hanya memberikan keterampilan baru bagi para WBP, tetapi juga berkontribusi nyata dalam upaya mewujudkan ketahanan pangan nasional.” Uangkapnya
Perkebunan asparagus dan sayur pakcoy yang dikelola oleh para WBP tampak hijau dan subur. Hasil panen dari kedua komoditas ini sebagian besar digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi di dalam lapas, dan sisanya dipasarkan ke masyarakat sekitar. Sementara itu, budidaya madu klanceng merupakan upaya diversifikasi produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi.
Selain meninjau langsung kegiatan pembinaan, Plt. Dirjen PAS juga berdialog dengan para WBP. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, beliau memberikan motivasi dan semangat kepada para WBP agar terus mengembangkan potensi diri dan memanfaatkan waktu yang ada untuk belajar keterampilan baru.
Melalui program-program pembinaan yang inovatif, Lapas Narkotika Bangli telah membuktikan bahwa pemasyarakatan tidak hanya sebatas menghukum, tetapi juga memberikan kesempatan bagi para WBP untuk memperbaiki diri dan menjadi warga negara yang produktif. (kanalbali/RLS)
