He said, the tweet of @kristentootie that invited foreigners to move to Bali during the COVID-19 pandemic contradicts the Circular of the Head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 2 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“As well as the Circular of the Director General of Immigration Number IMI-0103.GR.01.01 Year 2021 concerning the Temporary Restriction of the Entry of Foreigners to Indonesian Territories during the COVID-19 Pandemic,” he added. Immigration officers have asked her for information related to her act.
This investigation started when Bali became trending on social media twitter on Sunday (17/1). The trend in Bali was apparently triggered by a tweet from the @kristentootie twitter account owner. In her threads, Gray admitted that she was very comfortable living in Bali and has been on the Island of the Gods for one year.
In her tweet, she claims to be a woman from the USA of African descent. Her tweets explained that living in Bali is comfortable and the cost is very cheap. Kristen is also promoting the ebook “Our Bali Life is Yours” which helps others achieve the same dreams. The book was sold for USD 30 or around Rp. 400 thousand.
