DENPASAR – The Provincial Government of Bali, through the Departement of Tourism, has opened online registration for tourism workers to undergo COVID-19 vaccination. Online registration is closed until next Sunday (28/2).
“We have made an application form so that it can be filled immediately until next Sunday (28/2),” said the Head of the Bali Departement of Tourism, Putu Astawa when confirmed, Tuesday (23/2/2021).
Astawa said, the policy to open online registration for tourism workers to get a COVID-19 vaccination quota had been agreed in a virtual meeting with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Departement of Tourism in Regency/City level, and the Association of Indonesian Tourism Industries (GIPI) on Monday (22/2) yesterday.
In the meeting, continued Astawa, it was also agreed that the collected data will be directly coordinated with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. “This data will later be used as material to request the Ministry of Health to be given the vaccine. This is following a request from the deputy strategic policy of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. We believe that they will fight for these tourism workers to get vaccines,” he explained.
Although the number of tourism workers in Bali has touched 1.2 million people, Astawa is optimistic that all of them will be recorded properly. The tourism workers will be able to register directly through www.dispardabali-vaksin.com.
“We are optimistic that the data can be fill according to the deadline. The format is very simple, easy to access and not complicated,” he explained.
If later there are still people that have not been recorded in the system, Astawa will conduct further evaluation. It is possible that the online vaccination registration for tourism workers will be extended. “We are evaluating, if there’s still a chance to prioritize it, we can suggest it again,” he said.
“Because the vaccination background is to build the trust of tourists, we need all the tourism workers to be vaccinated to gain that trust again,” he concluded. (Kanalbali/ACH)
