BI Minta KUPVA di Bali Segera Lakukan Digitalisasi, Simak Alasannya

DENPASAR, kanalbali.id – Kantor Perwakilan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Bali menggelar acara sosialisasi yang bertajuk Penguatan Sinergi, Kompetensi, dan Digitalisasi Kegiatan Usaha Penukaran Valuta Asing (KUPVA) BB pada 9 Februari 2023.

Kegiatan yang dihadiri oleh 321 pengurus dan pegawai KUPVA BB di seluruh Provinsi Bali tersebut menjadi rangkaian dengan HUT APVA Bali ke-39 dan dilaksanakan secara hybrid.

Kepala Perwakilan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Bali, Trisno Nugroho mengatakan Bank Indonesia berharap agar KUPVA BB semakin meningkatkan layanannya menjadi lebih mudah, aman, dan lancar antara lain melalui penguatan kompetensi SDM dan digitalisasi.

“Itu seiring dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi Bali di tahun 2022 tumbuh positif 4,84 persen dari sebelumnya mengalami kontraksi -2,46 persen di 2021,” katanya.

Sektor pariwisata Bali mulai bangkit dan tercatat peningkatan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara yang berkunjung ke Bali sebanyak 2,16 juta orang atau rata-rata 179.646 orang per bulan telah memberikan dampak pada meningkatnya transaksi KUPVA BB berizin dari Rp2,8 triliun di 2021 menjadi 10,4 triliun Rupiah di 2022 atau meningkat sebesar 601,9 persen (yoy). 

Namun demikian, peningkatan jumlah transaksi di tahun 2022 masih belum mencapai jumlah transaksi yang terjadi di masa sebelum pandemi yang tercatat sebesar Rp38,5 triliun pada tahun 2019.

Sosialisasi yang bertajuk Penguatan Sinergi, Kompetensi, dan Digitalisasi Kegiatan Usaha Penukaran Valuta Asing (KUPVA) BB pada 9 Februari 2023 – IST

Dari sisi digitalisasi diharapkan agar pengembangan website www.authorizedmoneychanger.co.id yang memberikan kemudahan mengetahui lokasi KUPVA BB dan preorder penukaran, dapat dikembangkan dalam transaksi pembayaran penukaran ke rupiah dengan memanfaatkan instrument digital seperti QRIS.

Trisno juga memaparkan bahwa dengan diimplementasikannya QRIS cross border, diharapkan akan menjadi alternatif pembayaran yang semakin memberikan kemudahan wisatawan mancanegara melakukan penukaran dan pembelanjaan di Indonesia dan khususnya Bali.

 Di akhir acara tersebut, Trisno Nugroho menekankan kembali agar KUPVA BB jangan takut dengan digitalisasi, karena itu kunci untuk bertahan di masa kini. Pada kesempatan tersebut, seluruh peserta mendapatkan kesempatan untuk melakukan experience QRIS dengan melakukan scan QRIS yang disediakan. (kanalbali/RLS)
