DENPASAR, kanalbali.id – Waktu menunjukan pukul 11.00 WITA. Sinar matahari berada tepat diatas kepala saat berkunjung ke PLTS Apung 100 kWh di Waduk Muara Tukad Nusa Dua, Denpasar pada Selasa (20/5/2025).
Di hamparan waduk, tepatnya sebelah Pura Candi Narmada, “terjemur” 228 panel surya di permukaan waduk seluas 100 are. Energi listrik yang dihasilkan disalurkan untuk kebutuhan 100 rumah.
Saat matahari sedang memberikan sinarnya ke panel, kumpulan burung kuntul juga ikut berendam dan berjemur di pembatas areal panel surya. Dulunya, burung endemik yang hidup di area waduk ini sempat buat repot pengelola karena kotorannya yang jatuh di panel-panel.
Terkadang hinggap langsung di atas panel-panel yang dapat mengganggu sensitifitas serapan radiasi matahari. Namun sekarang berubah, burung-burung kuntul itu lebih tertib hanya bermain dan berjemur di area pembatas.

Jadi selain menghasilkan energi listrik berbasis matahari kepada 100 rumah, PLTS Apung Nusa Dua ini berperan menjaga ekosistem satwa liar, jadi tempat bermain burung kuntul.
“Kalau dulu mereka menyebar, kini burung-burung ini berkumpul di sini (sekitar panel surya). Jadi tempat bermain mereka,” ujar Senior Manajer Muara Tukad Nusa Dua I Made Harta Yasa sambil menunjuk ke arah puluhan burung kuntul berjemur.
PLTS Apung 100 kWh ini diperkenalkan ke publik saat KTT G20 sekaligus jadi showcase kunjungan delegasi G20 pada tahun 2022 lalu. Ini menjadi project pengembangan program untuk menuju emisi nol bersih 2024. Daya yang dihasilkan dari panel surya ini dibuatkan sistem on-grid ke pihak PLN.

Manajemen PLTS Waduk Muara Tukad Nusa Dua bertekad menambah panel memanfaatkan luas waduk muara tukad yang berlokasi di Pemogan Denpasar Selatan itu. “Waduk Muara Tukad ini cukup luas jadi masih bisa dikembangkan sampai 80% dari luasan Waduk Muara Tukad ini,” tambah Harta Yasa.
PLTS Waduk Muara Tukad Nusa Dua juga berkomitmen mendukung Bali mandiri energi sebagaimana yang diharapkan Gubernur Bali Wayan Koster. Semakin banyak energi listrik berbasis matahari yang dihasilkan, semakin cepat Bali akan mandiri energi melalui energi bersih terbarukan.
Saat ini sedang dikembangkan PLTS di Nusa Penida dan PLTS land base yang ada di Singaraja guna mendukung Bali mandiri energi. “Kami terus berupaya mendukung program pemerintah dalam mengembangkan Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) termasuk program kemandirian energi yang digagas oleh Pemprov Bali melalui pengembangan EBT,” tutup Harta Yasa.
